In an effort to reduce costs and raise service standards on the country's roadways and railroads, the Freight Management Association of Canada (FMA) members unveiled a global network on Monday.
The 15 international members of the network will act as a freight broker for cargo entering or leaving Canada.
The company, which has close relations to Australia, is also debating the adoption of regulations that would let drivers accrue international freight pilot-packs and carriers apply for C-Train carrier cards.
For the purpose of moving freight, the FMA will make use of Canada's current rail and road networks.
We will strategically work with freight management companies in Asia and Europe to offer the area a global reach to attract outside investment.
